Along with gambling and over-imbibing, resort fees have sadly become a way of life in Vegas. These per-night, plus tax, add-ons can turn that cheap Vegas deal you found into an unexpected Sin City splurge, especially since some resort fees are collected at the time of check-in, and not at the time of booking (and budgeting).
In fact, it’s quite common to see a hotel’s room rate going for about the same price as the hotel’s resort fee. And like the odds at the sportsbook, the resort fees are constantly changing. As it stands right now, there’s no law on the books that restricts Vegas hotels and casinos from raising their fees whenever they want to however much they want. Consumers are losing out.
We have a list of Vegas’ resort fees, rounded to the nearest dollar, as of April 2024. These can and will change, so be sure to read the fine print both at the time of booking and at check-in, but this list gives you a strong sense of what each property is up to.
We also include what the properties claim the money is going to via their official websites. Of course, most of the things listed used to be considered part of the price of a room—some of these Vegas hotels are seriously trying to pretend that any other hotels in the world charge guests extra to use their in-room safes. But at least you can use this information as a basis to argue the fee if you want.
Warning: Many of these hotels also require a deposit, often of more than $100.

There is one thing you can do to curb resort fees in Vegas (besides choosing to vacation elsewhere): Head downtown around Fremont Street, where the resort fees are two-thirds of what they cost on the Las Vegas Strip.
